Display & Design

The iPhone 14 Pro Max features a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2796 × 1290 pixels at 460 ppi.

Apple’s ProMotion technology provides an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling, animations, and supported games. The display also introduced an Always-On display, allowing useful information to remain visible without fully waking the phone.

The traditional notch was replaced by Dynamic Island, which integrates alerts, activities, and system information around the front camera area.

The phone uses a textured matte glass back, stainless-steel frame, and Ceramic Shield front.

A16 Bionic Performance

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is powered by Apple’s A16 Bionic chip, featuring a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine.

The processor is designed to handle demanding apps, gaming, photography, video editing, and everyday multitasking efficiently.

Its Neural Engine also supports computational photography features and other machine-learning tasks across iOS.

48MP Pro Camera System

The iPhone 14 Pro Max introduced a 48MP Main camera to Apple’s Pro iPhone lineup.

Its rear camera system includes:

• 48MP Main Camera
• 12MP Ultra Wide Camera
• 12MP 3x Telephoto Camera

The Main camera supports second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization. The camera system provides 3x optical zoom in, 2x optical zoom out, and a 6x optical zoom range.

The Ultra Wide camera also enables Macro photography, allowing detailed close-up photos.

Other camera capabilities include Photonic Engine, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Night Mode Portraits using LiDAR, and Apple ProRAW.

LiDAR Scanner

The built-in LiDAR Scanner helps the iPhone measure depth and improve augmented-reality experiences.

It also assists with faster autofocus in low-light environments and enables Night Mode portraits using the rear camera system.

Video Recording

The iPhone 14 Pro Max supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps and Dolby Vision HDR recording.

Cinematic Mode supports up to 4K HDR at 30fps, while Action Mode provides enhanced stabilization for handheld video.

For more advanced workflows, the device supports Apple ProRes video recording, making it suitable for users who want greater flexibility during professional video editing.

12MP TrueDepth Front Camera

The front features a 12MP TrueDepth camera with autofocus and an ƒ/1.9 aperture.

It supports features such as Night Mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Portrait Mode, Cinematic Mode, and 4K video recording.

The TrueDepth camera system also powers Face ID for secure facial authentication.

Connectivity

The iPhone 14 Pro Max supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS/GNSS, and Ultra Wideband technology.

It uses Apple’s Lightning connector for wired charging and data transfer.

Depending on the market version, SIM configuration can vary. Models sold in many regions support nano-SIM and eSIM, while U.S. versions use eSIM without a physical SIM tray.

Battery & Charging

The iPhone 14 Pro Max offers up to 29 hours of video playback under Apple’s testing conditions.

It supports fast wired charging with a compatible 20W or higher power adapter, as well as MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W and Qi wireless charging.

The available device is Open Box with 85%–88% battery health, depending on the individual unit.

Actual battery runtime will vary based on battery condition, network, applications, display brightness, and usage.
