Display & Design

The iPhone 6s features a 4.7-inch Retina HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1334 × 750 pixels at 326 ppi.

The display supports full sRGB colour and offers up to 500 nits typical maximum brightness. One of the standout features introduced with this generation was 3D Touch, which could detect different levels of pressure on the display and provide additional shortcuts and interactions in supported versions of iOS.

The iPhone 6s uses a 7000 Series aluminium enclosure, giving it a durable yet lightweight construction. It retains Apple’s familiar physical Home button and rounded-edge design.

A9 Performance

The iPhone 6s is powered by Apple’s A9 chip with 64-bit architecture, paired with an embedded M9 motion coprocessor.

The A9 features a dual-core CPU and provides improved processing and graphics performance compared with the A8 chip used in the iPhone 6.
